I have been at the Univeristy of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) for a month. The university area is very large, especially for Engineering department. I am trying to send you all e-mail several times, but it seem like you never get my e-mail. So, I would use this page to write to you all again.....:)

 

First, I will start with questions that you asked me. I am fine with new life here. There are around 100 Thai students here who usually help me in several ways. When I fisrt came here, I stayed with another Thai student, Ton. He is studying environmental engineering and, believe me, he will go back to work for PCD, water quality management bureau............:)

 

Now, I have my own apartment. It is very quiet place and large. The most important is that it is very close to my department, just 10 minutes walk. So, don't worry about missing class in the morning (I will miss as usual!!!!). The temperature here is a little bit colder than that of Bangkok, but it will getting colder and colder soon. My friend told me that the snow started around November last year.

 

For my research, I am working on measuring light absorption of arosol from diesel exhaust emission. I will work on this for another 1 year. After that, I will change to work on what is relating to my dissertation.
